Pete Wentz is the latest celebrity spokesperson for DKNY Jeans. The Fall Out Boy bassist created a junior sportswear line called Clandestine Industries for DKNY Jeans.
“I really just liked making my own clothes and when my fans started taking notice, I thought it would be fun to sell it, Pete has said. “I just wanted to partner with someone who was cool and fun. And I really do like what they do, I know the brand, I wear the brand. It’s cool.
According to WWD, “The line, which includes graphic T-shirts, dresses, jeans, sweats, skirts and jackets, is fully inspired by Wentz. The colors are all mostly dark, such as the black leather jackets and dark-indigo denim jeans, but there is a bright pink pop of color found throughout on jacket linings and some T-shirts. There’s a graphic print T-shirt of his pet bulldog, Hemingway, who tours with the band regularly, and other prints inspired by Wentz’s own extensive tattoos.

D.J. Caruso To Direct Y: The Last Man

Another bit of exciting comic book adaptation news today! The Y: The Last Man feature film finally has a director, Disturbia's D.J. Caruso, and is actually moving forward! We've been following this adaptation for quite some time, with an initial news post on the script back in March, and a rumor about Shia LaBeouf starring in the film as well. With New Line picking this up, it's great to see this finally moving forward.
Y: The Last Man, for those who are unfamiliar with it, the comic book is about a mysterious plague that kills nearly all the world's male mammals overnight. It centers around a magician named Yorick who's the only male survivor and his male pet monkey named Ampersand that set out to find what may have wiped out the male chromosomes. The comic was first published by Vertigo in 2002 and currently has around 60 issues.
The writer of the comic book, Brian K. Vaughan, has said previously that it's been in development hell for quite some time. Although reports initially said Vaughan would write it himself, Carl Ellsworth (Red Eye, Disturbia) will be writing the adaptation instead. I can only guess Shia LaBeouf's interest had an impact on D.J. Caruso, and then New Line swept it up when they heard LaBeouf would likely star. Just look at the success of the two together with Disturbia - it made quite a bit at the box office. Peter Sciretta at SlashFilm has always talked about how great of a comic book it is and how perfect of a film it would be, and now it's finally going to step out of development hell.
Stay tuned for more updates from Comic-Con on this if any arise. At least stay tuned as the film progresses into production, as it will be an exciting one to follow and we'll be there to bring you all the updates you'll need!
wtf. this movie sounds so fucking weird. but since my baby's daddy can do no wrong by me, i'll probably be first in line to see it.
